About:
A casual interest in graffiti art, the character that builds an environment. The layers, the creativity, the guts. Silently admiring the work as I would wander the intimate streets of Rome, never imagining or even wanting to own a gallery. The intrigue led to research. Then I bought my first piece. Framed in my office I would admire it, study it, and wonder what else was out there. I became hooked. Research became an obsession. The hunt, the discovery, the purchase and the thrill when the piece arrived.
As my collection grew, a spark went off - a gallery. With some courage and trust in myself I did it. Elm82 Gallery was created. Fast forward to my first official “business” trip to Paris. Once again I wandered the European streets with awe, but this time the discovery felt much more purposeful. The meandering led me to my first real gallery visit. In that moment it was official. I was inquiring about artists whose names I could barely pronounce a year ago, and now I’m talking about them as if they’re my closest friends. That trip taught me more than I expected. It was valuable beyond measure and gave me the thirst for more. More learning, more discovering, more sharing my passion. Thanks for being here, it’s going to be an exciting journey.
