About the Artist

Invader is a French contemporary artist whose anonymous identity and iconic mosaic installations have made him one of the most influential figures in modern street art. Inspired by the 1978 arcade game Space Invaders, he began installing ceramic tile mosaics throughout Paris in the late 1990s before expanding what he calls his global "Invasion" to more than eighty cities across six continents.

By translating digital imagery into permanent urban installations, Invader transformed simple pixelated characters into one of the most recognizable visual identities in contemporary art. His practice combines technology, gaming culture, architecture, and public intervention while encouraging viewers to experience cities in an entirely new way.
